Nepal
Roof of the World - Himalayas & Heritage
About Nepal
Nepal, nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, is a land of breathtaking natural beauty, ancient spirituality, and warm-hearted people. Home to eight of the world's fourteen highest peaks including Mount Everest, Nepal offers some of the planet's most spectacular mountain landscapes.
Kathmandu, the capital, is a living museum of medieval art and architecture. Explore UNESCO World Heritage sites including Durbar Squares with their intricate palaces and temples, the sacred Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and the massive Boudhanath Stupa. Wander through narrow alleys filled with the aroma of incense, sounds of prayer wheels, and colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze.
Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region, offers stunning lake views with the Himalayan range as a backdrop. Take peaceful boat rides on Phewa Lake, witness magical sunrises from Sarangkot, and explore mysterious caves and waterfalls.
Nepal is a trekker's paradise, offering routes for all levels – from the legendary Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit to gentle valley treks. Experience rural Nepali life, stay in mountain teahouses, and witness some of the world's most dramatic scenery.
Beyond mountains, Nepal offers jungle safaris in Chitwan to spot rhinos and tigers, spiritual experiences in Lumbini (Buddha's birthplace), and the vibrant festivals that showcase Nepal's rich cultural tapestry.
Best Time to Visit
